I was planning on writing a long post but laurie informs me that nobody "reads them they just look at the pictures" so here are some more. We would love to hear from everybody more often (or at all for some of you and you know who you are.)

I read the posts!
ReplyDeleteI also read all the posts. Keep them up! Pics are good too.
ReplyDeleteWhat I actually said was that my posts were short because I don´t usually read long blog posts. I mostly like the pictures. Our followers are obviously much more literate than I. :)
ReplyDeleteNow that I have flattered you all, lets see more comments. We love the comments (and emails and skypes).

I love reading your posts! I am not good at commenting. I hate it when people do that, read without commenting. Generally if I pull out the keyboard, Paul thinks he gets to "play" on it. Please, keep it coming!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading! And seething with jealousy-except for the weird girl eating your spaghetti and the freaky lizards.
ReplyDeleteWe miss y'all. We were also wondering if Ocean has moved, cuz we haven't seen her around...Do you guys know anything?
I checked the chickens yesterday and they are still alive although a/the brown one was up on the hutch making strange noises for about 10 minutes today. I went and asked her if she was ok-she didn't answer so I am assuming she's good.I didn't see any perps around.
I can't wait til the leaves come down so I have better viewing into the kitchen. Mostly I just see tired teenish looking folks in sweats with backpacks going in and out. And a lot of cars.I hope they don't read your blog. Your kitchen light is on but I can't see Gary doing the dishes. It's sad. Gary do you do dishes in Costa Rica? Is there a house available across the street?
There was a slight chill in the air today-fall is coming-this week highs in the 60's and rain.Toast a thunderstorm for me, and roast a lizard!

We love your posts too...although the gross pictures of bugs are more dramatic. Sounds/looks like quite the adventure. Do Leif and Sidne ever have a full day of school? Our kids rarely do because of budget cuts :-) Thinking of you guys.
ReplyDeleteLeita and gang
Kate-
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking on the chickens. Sidne and Leif will be glad to know they are good. There are chickens running free-range all over the place here. Sometimes they come into our yard. Sidne and Leif always want to try to catch the babies, but I am not willing to go running through bushes to help them due to the scary bugs that might be lurking.
Leita-
ReplyDeleteToday was actually maybe the second day that both Sidne and Leif have had a full day of school since they started in August. They most definately have budget problems here. The cafeteria roof was destroyed in a storm last year and the money to repair it was not provided so lunch is cooked and eaten in an outdoor covered area (which is also the gym and cafeteria). The minstry of education wanted to close the cafeteria and make kids eat at home, but so many kids at the school are so poor that the school lunch is the only meal they get each day. The principal had to fight for permission to continue serving lunch. I know many people are disappointed in the public schools in the United States, but they seriously need experience this. Our public schools are heavenly in comparison. But I have always thought the public schools in the US are heavenly. PPS teachers ROCK!
THAT is an impressive bug. Yie.
